Our DellPoweredge 2400 server (running win2k) is having the following errors:

Basically it does not see the configured Raid disks. It goes in a loop thru these error messages.

Waiting for Array Controller #0 to start

Error: Controller monitor failed
SDRAM initial pattern failed.

Press F1 to Continue F2 to reboot.

Looks like I lost the RAID configuration. Is there any way to restore the same

Any help greatly appreciated.

If its an AMI raid you should be able to restore the raid by pressing cntrl m when prompted at boot. The go to view / add section in the menu bar.

As the POST message says this is probably the onboard RAID controller (Adaptec) and it's having a problem with it's cache RAM. Try reseating the DIMM, located horizontally under the CPUs. If no change, contact Dell for a fix.
