Has anyone had problems installing 1GB memory sticks in the dell PE4400? Viking specifically sells this size memory for the 4400 but dell doesn't list it on their site. My 1GB modules currently do not enjoy the company of the 4400.

Thanks for the help, Neil

The PE4400 supports only up to 512MB DIMMs, as pointed out in the documentation. As the max amount of memory is 4GB there is no need to use larger ones. When a vendor offers 1GB memory upgrade for the PE4400 they should offer it as 2 512MB DIMMs (as they can only be placed in matched pairs).

I have 2 Poweredge 6300's that did not like the Viking memory, ended up sending it back and getting Dell memory.
