Hi I have a Dell Laptop. When I insert a cd it will auto play but when I want to open a cd, the drive logo does not appear. I also have a external cd drive which plugs in through the par port and that doesnt show up either. Any one any ideas?
 
Make sure that the BIOS sees the CD-ROM drives - although if it's running through Autoplay, then it's most likely going to show up.

Also, you might want to hit the Device Manager, and uninstall/re-install one drive at a time.
