Dell 2650 Raid 5 and OpenBSD

Thanks for taking time to listen to my question. We are getting ready to order a new rackmount server for an OpenBSD firewall. We have been buying the Dell 2650s' with the Raid 5 option. My question is will this server work well with OpenBSD? Also, if the 2650's won't work well with OpenBSD, could someone recommend another rackmount server for OpenBSD.

That's as far as I know about the hardware support for OpenBSD. But I do know that if you get the Dell 2650 with raid 5 to work it will be a hard rocking machine. What kind of network are you planning behind it because I think this machine can take a verry big load. And why do you want to use raid 5 in a firewall (I'm not an expert) but I guess most of the firewalling is done with memory. As in what's the IP what's the port pass or no pass etc. No storing on fast raid 5 disks here I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks OpenBsdRulez, We are going to firewall a school system internet connection. We have a DS3 with over 3000 machines behind our firewall. The only reason I wanted a Raid 5 solution is just for uptime, I really need as close to 100% uptime as I can get. I planned on implementing a bridging firewall and was not sure if load balancing would work with that type of firewall. This will be my second OpenBSD firewall. I am sure I could run it on lesser hardware, but I don't want any hardware failures.
