Hi,

We have setup a new Domino server in one of our offices. Other than that we have 5 Domino server in different locations.

The main (1st/primary) server is in US. All is well and there is no problem in sending/recieving mails.

But the only issue is if anyone in say HK sends a mail to other user in HK office itself, then it goes to the main server (In US) and then comes back here which cause delay and bandwidth consumption. Is there anyway to tell domino server that any mail originating from the notes client locally for a locally destined user should be delivered without sending it outside.

Please help
Thanks

Have you tried setting their home server/passthru server to the local one in their location settings?

I am quite new to this, can you please guide me how to do this, I am well versed with Exchange & Outlook.
I am using Lotus notes 6.5.3
Thanks

I believe that you need to go to the person's computer, open their local, personal Name & Address book, and check the Locations view.
There, you should find the location used for the office (which should be conveniently named : Office), and check the server names in there.

I am not an admin, but have heard that there is the possibility of setting user profiles in R6. You might want to look into that as well.

Pascal.

Hi All,

Thanks for everyone's help. I was going through the documentation for the same and found that what Pascal said is the way to do it.
