Deleting weird folder

I was just going through my webserver and i noticed that i have a bunch of these weird folders,

XcoM;.;008 XcoM;.;009 XcoM;.;010 XcoM;.;011, etc..

and when i tried to delete them it tells me that it can't delete file: can't read from source file or disk.

I asked one of my friends what it could be and he told me that i just got hacked.

Does any one know how i can get rid of these folders?

Boot the server to a command prompt only. Then go in and delete the folders and/or files in DOS while they are inactive. This works well for active virus files as well.
