Deleting old files or documents

Are you talking about doing this in Contribute?
I don't believe there's an 'easy' way of doing this in Contribute, but there is an option to delete a folder once you select the option to 'Choose file in website'.
Or you could load the page you want to delete, then select File -> Actions -> Delete Page.
