following problem:
i have two images in my links palette, but it doesn't show me what page they are on (all othe images are ok). i want to delete these images because the link doesn't exist anymore. this document will be save later as a template.

can any one help?

nils

hi nylz,

To see where the links are, you do the following.

in the links palette select the link, then go to the little trianle at the top of the palet. There you will find a mention that says "go to link". this will take you to the page and location where the link is. Now you can delete it. Do the same for the other link.

hope this helps

If you cannot go to the link from the Links pallete then you have encountered a bug. I have had this problem once as well.

If the image is not truly needed, there is no problem with leaving the false reference in the Links palette. It will just remain a minor annoyance. It will not prevent the document from printing.

If you truly want this gone, you can create a new blank document and copy all items from the link-buggy document to it. The phantom link will disappear.

hi jimoblak,

when i copy all this to a blank document, will all of my paragrah styles in my paragraph style palette be copied as well? as i said this is going to be a template

thanks nils

Styles that have not been used in the document but have been defined will not copy to the new document.

You can 'load' all styles from another document by going to the options in the character and paragraph style palettes.
