I am running RedHat Linux 7.1. I am going to install ximian gnome, but the last time I tried, it wouldnt delete the old packages that used to be on my system because the directories were not empty.
How do I configure the system to delete the folders without asking me, even if there are files and other folders inside?

From the command line ...

rm -r folder

Be careful though - don't run this as root from root! (not that I've ever done that - well ..... just the once :( ) TandA
