Hi All.

I've got an issue where usb keys used for backups are getting full, and rather than dispatch technicians to take the keys, put them in their computers, and delete unwanted files, I'd like to be able to do this remotely if possible.

I have used putty to ssh to the boxes, but get the menu of items, and can't find a way to get out of this menu to a command prompt.

Is there a way to do this? If so how?

Regards

Good idea and wondered this myself but command prompt is right there on the menu, #7 I think, so when you login press 7.
Depending which BCM and release may depend which drive letter.

Try from command:
wmic logicaldisk

Then look for "removable disk"

Thanks for the reply Curlycord.

When I go into my menus for my BCM450 (9.0.1.01.480) I have:

0 Exit
1 Reboot
2 Shutdown
3 Safe OS
4 Configuration Reset
5 Software Configuration
6 IP Configuration
7 Health Check

I can go into health check and see that everything is fine, but my only options there are

7.1 Return to Previous Menu
7.2 Redo Health Check

Could it be somewhere else.... I have heard of something like using user nnsupport, but apparently that is something avaya uses, and you have to get a one-use password from them.

Linux vs NT
Where command prompt maybe not supported on Linux

Some tests I just did:

BCM50 Rls 2
nnadmin does not work with putty....only nnsupport

BCM450 Rls 1 did not see Command on the menu.

So now it depends which system runs NT and which ones allow nnadmin

Maybe somebody knows on both.

I think its like this:

-BCM50 and 450 Linux only
-BCM50 and 450 Rls 2 and higher - nnadmin is no longer.
-nnsupport works on all BCM's with password of the day

Hi Curlycord.

The nnsupport password of the day.... how do I find this... WHERE do I find this?
Do I have to get it from Avaya support?

Regards

When you have an issue and put in a ticket they will dial in and login with nnsupport and password of the day.
We do not use that login or nnsupport therefore no password given to us.
