Hi
Hope someone can help - I have a file which contains a list of names, some of which are duplicated. What I want to be able to do is to remove the duplicated names so that I have a list of 'individual' names.
Can someone help please.

Thanks very much

when they don't ask you anymore, where they are come from, and they don't tell you anymore, where they go ... you'r getting older !

Hi sorry for being rather vague !
A sample file would be:

ntsphr0044
ntsphr0044
ntsphx0049
ntsphr0044
ntsphhx049
ntsplas073
ntsplas073

I would want to do this in Shell

Thanks

as noted above:
sort -u file.txt vlad
+---------------------------+
|#include<disclaimer.h> |
+---------------------------+

That worked a treat
Thanks very much indeed
