Deleted mailbox still accessible

I have a mailbox(mine) that I cannot retrieve messages from. I deleted the mailbox and calls still go to voicemail. When I try to retrieve the messages I get a response that states there is trouble with the call and to try again later. I have tried rebooting the MAS and MMS servers and somehow the mailbox still hangs on.

If you look in the application log on the MAS do you see any 1027 events ?

also if you look at the FEDB do you see your mailbox in it ?

I do have the 1027 event. I also have one just before it 1621 Error

MSS failure (SMTP) - critical problem delivering outgoing messages to the MSS. [Reason :RCPT command failed.]
Sender :(my userid@mydomain)
MSS Error: 550 User unknown

It looks like the windows box is not syncing with the linux box.
Is that a correct assesment?

I logged into the linux box and deleted my account so I know the user does not exist. I just can't get the windows box to recognize that.

How do I look in the FEDB? Is that the web interface into the linux box?

you need to rebuild the fedb. if you add a user does it work ?

what software are you running?

If you have never done it you should get a bp to do it or show you how. When was the last time the system was restarted?

I will see if I can find the fedb rebuild for you but I am getting on a plane and will not be home for about 20 hours.

On the MAS, there is a tool that you can look at the will show if your mailbox is present. Go to C:\Avaya_Support\Tools\FEDBQueryGUI

Run this and you can choose to search by mailbox number and see if your mailbox exists.

How many MAS do you have in your MM? If more than one, do you get to your mailbox sometimes but not always? Could be that one FEDB was updated but not the other.

When you deleted it, did you validate that the 1027 updated the MAS before you readded it?

If you try the above two action steps and it is still an issue, place a call to your MM maintenance group. They may be able to simply rebuild the FEDB on the MAS or have to repair the links.

Hope this helps.

I do have fedbquery, but KenMeans is right no gui. I removed all entries of my account out of fedb.mdb restarted the messaging service and now my VM works. Thanks for all your input. It helped guide my way.
