Does anyone know if there is a possibility, besides rebooting, to delete the messages received by the messenger service? Shutting down the service doesn't do it. I got probably over 500 messages in there from Symantec Exchange antivirus tool. I now disabled this option to send these messages but there are still a lot coming. Any idea's??

Thx,

Sense.

Stop the messenger service. Admin tools --> services .

As said in my first post, that doesn't help. You can try it yourself. Send a couple of messages from a other pc and them stop the messenger service. They still will pop-up on you screen. So there must be a cache our some like that were these messages are stored.
