Hi,

In our smsls.bat file we have a command line to delete the temporary internet files. This is not happening.
How can we delete these files using either sms or wise installer. I have tried using a batch and command files but with no joy.
Can somebody pls point me in the correct direction.

Thanx

You could create a package(script) which you deploy to run daily at a given time and delete the temp files that way.

Are you sure that SMSLS.BAT is running in a security context that has permissions to delete the Temp files?

You may need to create an Advertisement that does this on a regular basis and leverage the script code that Rod Trent wrote in his article on ITForum on "cleaning temporary files":

Hi kurtsh,

I have read this post and given it to the developement folks for investigation. But the comment on the security context is interesting. Since the smsls.bat runs under the user login , it uses the user rights , correct?

If yes we will then implement a vb script to delete.
Thanx for all your help.

Cheers
