The office sending me digits has to send a full ten digits but all of my stations are only seven digits so the call just keeps ringing and doesn't terminate because it is looking for a ten digit station. As far as I can tell there is no where in the RDB that prompts me for a IDC index.

Does any one have a solution on how to delete or absorb the first three digits recieved?I already tried IABS prompt in the RDB. Thanks in advance all.

If this is a DID route -- in the RDB, you should get a prompt for IDC as you step through for CHG. Answer YES. The next prompts are DCNO for Day IDC and NDNO for Night IDC. You should also check the FCR section of your Customer Datablock to make sure that IDC is enabled (IDCA = yes).

It is a T-1 ATVN PRI. It doesn't prompt for the IDC.

you'll need to build an idc table before you get a prompt, ld 49 new idc...

So what you are saying is that I need to delete and rebuild my route for the IDC prompt to show up on it? If I do a change it doesn't show up. Is that right? What I mean is the IDC table is already built, but I went to the rout to change it and nothing showed up.

Thanks for your help guys

i have never needed to rebuild a route for that reason, what is your trunk type?.. how can you delete a npa with a idc.. if i see 434 4940 inbound and my idc is looking for 434, i have a match, but would need an entry for each 7 digit numbers in the npa?

May be easier to force your carrier to send a 7 digit DNIS. They can do it. Last 7 digits, it's an on the fly change in most switches. You are the customer.

JohnPool - you are correct ATVN is my trunk type. Just to check, I did reprogram the rout to see if I would get the IDC prompt, but it still didn't come up which leads me to believe that NORTEL droped the ball on this one.

ArchTelecom - I already have it sending seven digits. The need is to send ten digits due to a standard regulation outlined by a higher entity than myself. And unfortunately no I am not the customer. In this case I am the counterpart to the world wide Defense network. However my switch is one of the first of its kind on the network. Needless to say I did have to break it to my superiors that ten digit send does not work and can not nor will not work.

Thanks very much for assisting Gentlemen.

I am sure you can help again soon. I have some other issues to address when I can.
