hi guys!
I need help...

I am trying to ping a client computer, but it shows a different ip address.
Ex:
Computer1 IP Address = 10.1.1.1

Ping computer1
=> the result is..... 10.1.1.2(which is not its actual IP Address) and "request time out".

What could be the best solution for this?

Thanks.

If I understand right you are trying to ping PC by its name not ip.You should check out your DNS server records for this PC,because "ping computer" gets the IP from DNS server.

Thats sounds about right. Your DNS record is off. If your using DHCP, put Dynamic Updates on the DNS to prevent these problems from happening again.

You guys are great! I checked the DNS and i found the cause. Thanks!
