How do i do it ??

I have arcserve backup software (version escapes me atm)sitting on an NT server's C: drive the C: drive is down to 88mb =O and needs some space consolidated on it as you can see. So i was thinking i could maybe delete the job log database and maybe compress the thing somehow to get some space on the C; Drive. I inherited this site and didnt set any of the system up so I am sort of running blind atm.

Well you can always just reinstall it to a different drive.

To keep the database at a smaller size then either modify the job not to save the detailed information in the database or reduce the number of days for the DB Prunning Job.

The use the utilities to free up the disk space. There is a readme in the ARCserve directory and also see faq478-4386.

quick way - initilize via ARCserve Server Admin, Database, operation, initilize.

Thankyou davidmichel I will take this into consideration.

1Ankton1,
put in your mind if set your jobs not to save the detailed information in the database or initilize Arcserve databse you would require to merge the tapes/session before doing any restore, I would recommand you to reduce pruning period.
