Hi

My compamy has recently migated offices. The exchange accounts were all moved to the new exchange server (running 5.5)

One of the user had a rule applied on the old server, the rule appear to still be trying to run and failing. The trouble is that Outlook is showing no rules either on the server or the client?

I think that I need to delete the rule from the old exchange server at the old site. Trouble is that I don;t know how to delete rules from someones account directly from exchange. Can aneone help??

Thanks in advance!

There is no Admin interface to mailbox rules - you need to access the mailbox in question via a MAPI session to fiddle with the rules. You can do this either by giving your acount rights to the mailbox and opening an Outlook session via a new profile - this will allow you to see the Rules Wizard; or you can run Exmerge against the server (usually under the Service Account logon) and Archive the associate messages from the mailbox (which includes the rules). The latter approach is ideal when the rules have become corrupted and Rules Wizard cannot handle them.

Thanks for the speedy response. I have tried the first solution which failed :0(

I think it will have to be the latter to fix my problem.

I don't suppose you could give me some detailed steps to go about this could you? Along with any precautions that I should take?

Again thanks for your help, it is very much appreciated
