It takes about 5 seconds before the call completes and rings on the far end when I make a call over the H323 trunks. Is there a setting in the BCM to change this? I can hit # and the call completes immediately.

What number are you dialing? Can you explain the setup in your Destination Codes and Routing for the number you dial?

Check dialing timeout.

If you go to Dialing Plan and General, you will see a box titled Global Settings. In it you'll see DN Length and Dialing Timeout

I have destination codes setup for 3,4, and 5. Let's say I dial 5555. It goes out route 001 (VoIP trunks) into an NRS at the central site which then directs anything starting with a 5 to the correct endpoint.

It could be your Private DN length. It's waiting for an extra digit, so pressing # sends the call immediately.

Do you have H.245 tunneling on ? Much faster call setup and cut-thru if its on.

H.245 tunneling is off. Private DN length is 4 and we are doing 4 digit dialing.

The route has to be private, if it is public then pressing the # key will eliminate the remaining digits that the system is waiting for to be dialed.

Set the route to private. Still a slight delay, but nothing to write home about. All seemd good now.
