Delay voice Networking OS4K with openscape business X5

Hi all,

I config networking OS4k with openscape business X5 by IP trunk.

When between OS4K and openscape business X5 the voice delay 7-8s(Pick up the phone to talk about 7 8 seconds to hear it)
Can help me config to improve delay times.

Make sure that on OS4K side at least you have the latest LoadWare for the STMI/HG board.

If possible bring the 2 systems together (in the one room) and do a 'back to back' test.

Check the voice codecs in use across the link.

Ensure that VOICO is turned off at FEASU - 'Voice Compression' (Older built in method)

A trace would help you get to the bottom of this. If it's a V8 4K with STMIX, it's very easy to get a tcpdump from the card.

4K tracs trace might be useful but if the signalling is fine, but speech path is delayed, it could be hard to spot.

First use RDS the tracing/diagnosis tool in the 4K Assistant to see if any signalling is delayed, ie, does the speech path come with the conn/conn ack, or does it come 7 seconds afterwards. If the speech path is delayed more than the signalling, a 'full' tracs trace (trace 8 with full diags switches) should be taken along with a LAN/tcpdump.
