Delay opening ADCU

It takes a couple of minutes for the ADCU to open. What could cause this delay? There are two DCs (2000/2003) that sync, but should that cause that much of a delay? What are somethings I can check for?

Verify your DNS settings.

The clients should point to an internal server for DNS.

The Internal DNS Servers should point to each other as primary and use themselves as secondary for their NIC settings. In the DNS server, use your ISP DNS in the Forwarders tab.
