delay in receiving emails in outlook 2000

Hi all,

users are getting delays in receiving emails. however when they hit "New" or "Send/Receive" or somthing like that, the users get flooded with emails that were sent 10 20 or even 30 minutes before hand.

Anyone got any ideas.

We are running XP Pro with office 2000 instaled

I am having the same issue. I don't have a fix yet. Please let me know if you get it resolved.

I've been blaming the external server POP and SMTP via ISP.
Let's blame Bill. That's more fun

I Finally found the problem.....

....the firwall feature in XP needs to be turned off

it's found in the "Local Area Connection" properties.
