This has come up a few times - users claiming delay in their voice mail delivery. Check voice mail in morning - no messages (no mwi) - afternoon they have messages with the time stamp stating received in the morning. Thoughts? Ah CP is 4.0

I have also had this occur at my site so I am very interested in hearing from the group of possible reasons for the delay and any fixes. I have CP 4.04.04.17.

I'm starting to get those in CP 2 ...past month or so.

same as dendt: no mwi, Check VM, no msg ... randomly about 6-12 hrs later mwi and message with old time stamp

Clocks are running ok

Maybe this can help you, I found it on the Nortel site.

Delayed messages.
Event 55064 MWI message folder I/O error.
MWI does not light when user receives a message.
Event ID 38727 - Event from MWI[] : NBnot_ControlMWI:MWI Control failed Tapi_rc= -2147483576, Line= 0, DN=XXXX
Event 38750 - Event from MWI[] : ClientThread:Multiple MWI requests.Not executing. rc= 0, Request Action= 1, DN=xxxx

Cause:
MWI port in an unknown state.

Fix:
Reset MWI channel in the CallPilot and the associated Rolm PBX port.

RS528 Thanks for the information, I will check that out. I will be surprised if this is the solution only because it is not that the light isn't working through the day. They will get other messages and then later get a message stamped earlier in the day. Just like senk1S mentioned. I also have a PEP scheduled for next week. We will see if this helps. Will update
