Hey guys,

We currently have a Definity G3 v11 and with the deployment of Windows 7 (64bit) throughout our organization, our remote users that use an IP-SOFTPHONE are not able to install the 5.2 client (which is the highest that 11 support IIRC, more on that later)

I was wondering if there is a VPN phone that would work the the Definity? We use Cisco VPN for our remote users.

IP softphone. I tried to run Softphone 6.0 which supposedly works on W7, it seems to install OK, but when I connect to the PBX it seems to answer and quickly disconnect. No errors, nothing.

I don't want users to have to use the XP mode to run the 5.2 client.

ANY options on this would be great!!!

Have you tried One-X Communicator? A shot in the dark, but if all else fails. You may have to fool this program by use of the 'Change Alias Station' command if you try it.

One-X doesn't understand 1600 phones, but your G3 probably doesn't either.

You may have to have a PLDS login to get this software.

I was trying to download it. I'm waiting for approval on my "Sold to Number" from the Avaya Admin.

I'll try it when they ever approve it!!!
