We have an old Definity running with about 100 6408D+ phones - we need to replace the system, but is there new hardware that still supports the same phones so we don't have to replace those too?
Thanks.

Your current phones are still supported on the newer systems. They just need to have the proper digital media module/CP to connect to.

Thanks for the reply - I thought they dropped support for the 64xx phones from all the IP Office products?

Let's be clear if you have a definity it's not an ipoffice , you would be upgrading to a communication manager.

Can you confirm what system you have and what you are upgrading to ?

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

You most likely will be able to reuse most of the core hardware and just have to purchase new servers (or VMWare) to run the CM software that controls everything along with a few small hardware pieces.

If you are moving to IP Office this is a whole other game.

Currently its G3V7i. We're looking at all possibilities CM / IP Office / something else completely.

It's not really being used for any features that an entry level phone system doesn't now have - so all options are open!

Looks like only a CM system would be able to use the existing phones though.

Thanks for the replies.
