Customer has a Definity G3v9. Wants to have phone cover to a cell phone, if not answer in 3 rings, re-route call to another extension.

The normal method would be a coverage path with "rxx" as the the first point, where xx is the number of the "coverage remote" table entry. then the subsequent coverage points can be other extensions or voice mail

Are you saying the R9 does not support this?

Check in your system under "disp system cover" on page 2 and see if "coverage of calls redirected off-net is enabled...this is where you control if these type of calls can or can not be covered....

Good Luck

The call does cover to the remote phone number using cover remote. but the call never goes to the second cover point.

The second page of system cover, coverage of calls redirected off-net enabled = n. Can not change this parameter.

Under "system para cust" on page 1..."Coverage of calls redirected off-net" must be set to yes to use this feature...it must not be in your switch..you must not have purchased that feature from Avaya...bummer
Where there's a will there's a way ;-)

If you have vector, would it work with route with cover yes ?

madwok....Once you send the call off-net it's gone...out of the switch and the switch will no longer monitor it's progress even with the "vector" you need to get that option turned on in your switch......
