I have 4MB flash card in the switch now. I want to buy a new flash card. Am I able to use Generic brand Flash Card like compaq flash card or sony flash card? If I do need to buy Avaya Flash card, where is the cheapest place to get it.

thank you very much.

Brian

A 4 MB card? sounds like you have a pre V9 switch...

In the Pre- V9 switches, buy the non ATA cards, as the ATA cards will not fit in the slot and are used in Version 9 and above systems...

Once you get the right card, you can do a format-mem command and it should be usable...you may have to have a carft log-in permission to do it...

Try it...

Hi Brian,

You asked where you can buy a 4-meg flash card, other than from Avaya.

I have this flash card available.

Avaya List: $824/ea
VES Price: $495/ea

Let me know if I can help.

Would he be able to use a 4meg form a g3si that was just upgraded to r11 and now uses 16 meg cards? I can't use the 4meg any more. Wisdom is Knowledge

Thanks All Phoneman2

Yes, Phoneman2, he can use that card. I always save the 8 MB and 4 MB cards from the systems I upgrade because I can use them at other customer sites or in my lab PBX systems.
