Can someone point me at a website that describes the various Definity cicuit packs and their preferred uses? I need to add digital phones to my current system and want to know what options are available before speaking with any sales people.

I have a Definity G3v9 and plan to use 6400 series phones. It looks like the TN2214 and TN2224 cards will both work, but I want to get a better understanding of how they differ.

I am not sure where to find it on the web, but I looked for it my Definity Bible Release 9.

TN2224B 24-port, 2-wire DCP Digital Line
The 2224B has 24 DCP ports that can be connected to 2-wire terminals such as the 6400-, 8400-, or 9400-Series digital telephones and the 302C Attendant Console.
The TN2224B supports either A-law or u-law companding (software selectable)

Terminal Wire Size Maximum Range
302C Att.Con 24AWG(0.2mm2/0.5mm) 3,500ft. (1,067m)
6400-Series " "
8400-Series " "
9400-Series " "

The TN2214B has the same description, the only difference is that in the description of the TN2214B it is mentioned that this is an International Offer or US and Canada Offer B only.

Hope this helps

John

Do you have the documentation CD: Definity Systems Release 9 Library? There is nice table of all the circuit packs available, in there. You can get to it via:
General and Reference Information
System Description
Cabinets, Carriers, and Circuit Packs
Circuit Packs and Related Hardware
Circuit Packs in Definity
or it starts on page 129 of doc #555-233-200.
