Hello,

When one runs a Media Summary report in NBU, what is the difference between the media that are labeled as active and those that are labeled non-active? I have been unable to find the precise definition of these terms, as they apply to media, anywhere.

Thanks,
Seth

an active tape has images on it and has room and is available for use for more backups

an inactive tape is Full or Frozen eitherway it is no longer available for writing more images unto it.

Ah, ok...that makes sense. Funny how I could not really find an explicit defintion anywhere. Thanks!
