I have a user that sends mail every day, using deferred delivery. From time to time, it will not go out when specified. I've been unable to manually recreate the problem.

We're running Exchange 5.5 sp4 on W2000 Adv. server. Most users are running Outlook 2003, with some using Outlook 2000.

Any suggestions?

The only relevant info I've found so far, deals with older versions of Outlook and Exchange. Maybe this is still a problem that was never fully fixed?

I've been able to recreate the problem.

If you have to edit a message waiting in the Outbox for deferred delivery, you need to "send" the changed message again. Not simply "save" it.

Apparently, the changed message is treated as if it were new. It doesn't clear the time/date in the message though.

I haven't confirmed with the user whether it's possible that this caused her problem, but was able to recreate it at will.
