I am looking to periodically monitor line & extension usage at our remote facility real-time, by logging into our RAD.

The RAD is hard-wired into the punch block, on port 128. I can directly dial into the RAD by dialing its extension.

The problem is, each time I connect to the RAD, it defaults to a 7310 phone. If I push the 7324 button, after around 30 seconds, the RAD resets itself to emulate a 7324.

Is there a way for the RAD to default to a 7324?

Just been experimenting with an erad
Go into programming
terminals & extensions, press show
enter extension number of rad
press show then next until compatibilities
press show then next until you see something which offers
a chance to change the phone type. The display should read 7310.
press change until the display reads 7324 then release
job done
if you don't find it in capabilities just look around that
area, it's there somewhere.
If this doesn't help let me know and get the info for you.

The only place that I see a model type is under "User Preferences". It will show the model of the phone, but will not allow me to change it.

If I look at the extension when I connect to the RAD, it is showing as a 7310. If I push the 7324 button on the Remote Utilities, after a few seconds, a 7324 phone is "displayed" on my screen. If I then go back into the phone system, the extension now shows as a 7324.

When I disconnect & go to re-connect to the RAD, it defaults back to a 7310.

The default is in the NRU program and not the Norstar. I don't know if you can change it.
