Does anyone know how to change the default Web page on the terminal server that would reflect all users that are on terminal services?

Here's a quick and dirty way if you want to try this....

I recommend doing this while no one is logged on.
1) Logon with Admin Account
2) Put the server in INSTALL mode (Change User /Install).
3) Change the IE Homepage and close IE.
4) Put the server back in EXECUTE mode (Change User /Execute)

Test it by logging on with a new account.

If this doesn't work for then you could try to use the IEAK for the version of IE you have and configure it on the server.

And of course you can also try GPEDIT.MSC to modify the Policy.

Reply back if you need more info on the latter two options.

If I wanted to use GP. Would the changes be under User Conf/Administrative Templates/??

Hi Sak, I'm not sure exactly where the policy is. In fact I'm not sure it's there by default. You might have to create your own ADM file and add it to the policy templates.

Create a new Default User account to overwrite your current on the TS machine. Every "new" user will by default, no matter who the user is get these settings. Currently active accounts on that TS will need to be whacked and re-created in order to get all of the new default user settings.

salc76,

I use a GPO for this.. It's found in User Config/Windows Settings/Internet Explorer Maint./Important URLs/Home Page.
