I am running a Windows 2003 \ SQL 2005 server with Reporitng Services on it. It displays the SQL Reporitng Server's report via an internal web address.

Currently my server will not allow me to Start the Default Web Site and all of course my url will not work. All reports are unavailable. I get an error when trying to start the default Web Site that states: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. I have restarted the server, and the default site still isn't starting.

Where exactly is the error prompting? When you try to start the site?

Try checking permissions in IIS and on the folder? Sounds like there could be a lock on the database as well? Check the connectionstring as well.

Try changing the port from 80 to 8080 as well. Could be another application utilizing 80. (Though rare ive seen it before)

Sorry guys... should have alerted you or removed this post.

Port 80 was conflicting. The domain admins took it upon themselves to activate a UPS reporting agent on our server, stepping on the sites port assignment. All clear
