It all happened when the system was started without the Flash Card and later the Flash card was inserted and translation was saved. Could this have affected it?? Now you can do anything like add circuit pack or add stations or change system features
can do" or "can not do" any changes? If you saved default translations over your flash card containing your RTU's, you're screwed. You may need to call Avaya, tell them what you have done, and maybe for a charge they can research the history and determine what it should be licensed for.
Don’t tell me you really did this…..please.
You started the Definity without your flash card inserted that had your backed up translations on it. Then you inserted your flash card with translations and did a 'save translations' command after all the system tests passed and you logged in.
Well you just overwrote all your previous translations. I hate to be blunt, but you did a terrible thing....a very bad thing. You will have to retranslate your whole PBX translations from scratch. I hope you had a second flash card that you kept off site for disaster recovery that you backed up to once a week. Avaya or a biz partner will be charging you a hefty price for a Software Specialist and a Software Associate to retranslate your switch. I hope it wasn’t that big of a switch as far as capacity.
