Where is the setting to have my reports default to 'landscape' instead of 'portrait'? I find that no users want CR in CR format but always want spreadsheets. I am using CR 8.5 and have many users.

Under [File], chose [Printer Setup].

You might also try exporting to Excel: this is quite neat if you have the latest dlls and patches.

Are you looking for a setting so that when you open Crystal Designer to design a new report the default will be "landscape" or are you looking to make sure the report prints landscape once it is deployed? If the latter, how are you deploying your reports?

thanks, Madawc, for the suggestion of exporting to Excel. That is exactly what I do, because the users want excel format in order to work with the data. I find that it does many things such as letting me compress the fields and show just a few characters on the CR. FV Trainer has interpreted my question correctly in the first part of that response: I want to have the report in landscape in a new report. The reason is the greater width is easier to work with than the width in portrait mode

What I do is have a 'template', using 'Save As' when I want to make a specific report from it. Crystal also has its own system of templates, but I've not used these.
