Default System KX-TD308

I can't access the D308 system to program. With phone plugged into jack 1, I press program *# 1234 and the set beeps 3 times. I tried to default the system by sliding the switch to Clear then press the reset. Then slide the switch back to norm, and still can't get into programming. What am I doing wrong?

KX-TD308??? Are you sure it isn't just a KX-T308

Very diferent systems. KX-T has 3 co ports and 8 key phone ports.

where is the clear switch that you are refering to on
a KX-TD 308 ?

I don't have one in front of me and I don't think there
is one unless it is under the hood? The only way I know
of to default the US version is to already be in programing
thru the keypad via jack 01 and going thru field 900

The clear switch is on the right side just above the reset button.

hmm I'll take your word on it but If you refer to the manual
Defaulting is done thru 900 and It does not even mention
the clear/normal switch !

Not knowing the password to get into programming to access 900 pretty much makes that option mute...

open it up and see if there is a coin cell somewhere

I know there is a way to reset the system to default without opening the system up and unsoldering the battery. It was done using the clear and reset, but I don't recall the sequence.

put power to it when the red light goes solid
put it to clear hit reset when light flashes put it to normal with in 2 seconds should come up and red light should be solid again and be in default thats how its done on larger ones.
