I have a user who sends Word 2003 docs via email using the FILE > SENT TO > Email Recipient (as attachment). This has worked in the past, launching Outlook 2003 and sending the email using his exchange account.
Now, when he does this, the Internet Connection wizard opens, and wants him to create an Outlook Express mail account.
I checked the IE Programs tab, and Outlook is set as default. I checked the Default Programs in Control Panel, and outlook express is not checked as a usable option. I checked Add/Rem Programs > Windows Programs, and Outlook Express is not installed. I checked his mail settings in his registry, and everything matches what Microsoft says it should be.
I have reinstalled OE, disabled it, and tried again, and it still opens OE. I then uninstalled it, checked my defaults, and tried it again, and it still wants to open OE.
The last time this happened, he threw such a fit that I reimaged the laptop to fix it because I could not find the problem. Now it is happening again, and I do not want to reimage the machine.
He is using Windows XP Pro SP3, with Office 2003 Pro installed, along with the 2007 file converters. Also has latest version of IE installed. Any help is always appreciated, thanks!
