Ok, now this one is really wierd. Three users all use the same netwrok printer. One can print reports using it and two cannot, in fact they can't even preview the report when this printer is the deafult or get to the print dialog box to change the printer.

However, if they make a differnt printer their default, it prints fine and they can then change to the printer it won't go to as a default and print.

None of the users have any problems printing to this printer using anything but Access. And they cannot print from any Access database if this printer is their default.

Knowledge base indicates thier printer driver is corrupt, but all are using the same printer driver and if it was really corrupt wouldn't they have difficulty printing in other rograms?

I'm sure it's some setting on their computers but what to look at? THe two with problems have XP with service pack 2. THe person who can print is still on Windows 2000.

Questions about posting. See faq183-874

I would tend to agree that the printer driver has a bug in respect of Windows XP
Go to the manufacturer's website and get a new version or an upgrade from what you are using.

SQLSister, may I ask if you have this printer problem resolved? I have exactly the same situation as yours and is looking everywhere for a solution. Please share with me your resolution. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem with this. My clients access via terminal server. They can print from all other apps except for Access, they can't generate reports as a result. Was there a solution for this one?

the two printers are HP 1300 and HP 2300 printers. I've tried upgrading and downgrading drivers on the server and the client. I've tried fixed redirection. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled office 2000 on the terminal server(2003 enterprise) and still no luck.
