From right clicking on the start menu there is no way of changing where explorer takes it's path, you are asking it to explore the start menu. However create a new shortcut on your desktop and add the following as the filename "explorer.exe c:\" replace c:\ with whatever path you want.

Why do it that way? There are many other ways to get explorer to open. Right click on My computer, the "Windows" and E key, a shortcut on your desktop (which you can adjust to open at any folder or drive you want), a shortcut in the quick launch toolbar, typing explorer in the run box.
What you are doing essentially is "exploring" the start menu.

When progs are open the easiest way to explore w/o keyboard use is to right-click the start button, so was hoping that I could o'ride the 'Start in' param.
