Do any of you guys know how to change the default opertor number from 221 to something else?
When my users accidentally press 0 is ends up ringing at ext.221 instead of my att, which is 236.

Thanks

Hi bliemsgirl,
I think that setting is called direct-dial. If you go in under that menu choice and change the ext. from 221 to 236 that should do the trick.
Thanks,
John

221 is the phone that controls alot of things. why not just swap the ext's.

If you want your extension 236 to ring when a caller presses 0 either from the Main Greeting(Auto Attendant) or from inside a personal mailbox there are three areas where you need to do some programming changes.
a. Feature 982 Password is: operator
the attd. must be changed to 236
b. Feature 983 Password is: 1020000 (this is default, this can be reset to the above password if it is different and you do not know it). You then go into Mbox, go into Chg, enter mailbox 100 and change the extension to 236. When completed press the star key to bring you back to the main menu (Mbox AA Other). Go into AA and into the right table( 1 or 2: Flash voicemail)and scroll through until you come to the atdt, change to extenstion 236.
Always test, call in and press 0 form the auto attendant, then from a mailbox.
