Situation : NT WS4.0 SP6a
Member of LTDxxxxx domain.
LTDxxxxx domain also trust KROxxxxx domain.

Problem : Domain drop down box is showing the list of avaliable domains in alphabetical order thus KROxxxxx is before the default LTDxxxxx domain and so the user has to change domains to log in. The biggest issue is with a few machines I have that use AutoAdminLogon. They will now not logon as it tries to logon to the KROxxxx domain.

Anyome else come across this and know a fix ?

Thanks,
Dan

Make sure the key "DefaultDomainName" exists in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon and that it has the name of the Domain that you want to show up at logon. This key is supposed to reflect the domain that was last authenticated to successfully.

DefaultDomainName exists and is populated with the correct domain.
