Does anyone know how many images are installed on a default install of Windows XP Pro?

I beg your pardon? I am a professional!!

Lol, be assured this is not a quiz question or the creation of a quiz, i need to know for a specific reason.

Why don't you use Search Companion (the doggy thing) to search for "What do you want to search for" and select "Pictures, Music, or Video", and then select "Pictures and Photos", also use the Advanced Search Options, to make sure you are searching in Hidden and System files, and also make sure any View is set for Thumbnails.

I don't have a pure default XP, whatever that is with the various Service Packs etc. but the total that my doggy found on a nearly clean SP3 was 1315 images, but that had a couple of third party programs on it.

See what result you get.

Can you put us out of our misery and tell us why you want to know this important piece of information?

Also the XP I searched on had two user accounts, so that might inflate the results a bit too.

Drats, just kidding... btw. it was not an accusation, got to admit it does kinda sound weird there... ;-)

as Linney mentioned, the Windows Search will show you a lot of info...

but define IMAGE, as in pictures or as in Floppy, CD, DVD, Memory, etc...

I am not sure if anyone actually happen to have taken a statistic over the amount of pictures on a fresh install of XP, that I know of...
