Attempting to configure 1st windows 2000 prof. workstation.
We're running on an NT4.0 domain. Not using roaming profiles. My question is, how can I get rid of the ICW icon on the desktop and the outlook express icon in the quickstart toolbar. When we roll out the workstations, I don't want these icons coming up anytime a new user logs onto the machine.

Thanks.

Configure a profile that you've already run the ICW on, etc, and every time you set up a new machine copy that profile to the Default User profile on the new machine. Marc Creviere

But, if you upgrade IE te Outlook Express icon will return... Unless you first install the new IE to a test or Admin machine an use the IEAK tool kit to create an install for your company that DOES NOT include Outlook Express.

Delete the ICW icon on the desktop and the outlook express icon in the quickstart toolbar in the default profile for each machine. You can have a script do it, possibly in the netlogon.
