Default e-mail address issue

Hello, I'm new to Windows 2003 SBS with Exchange. I'm setting up a new server. I need to change my "default" e-mail address(s). Here is an example of what I have:

John@NewGagitWorks.local
(NewGagitWorks being our internal workgrup or domain)

What I need is:

John@NGWorks.com
(NGWorks.com being our web domain)

What do I need to do to change this? Thanks in advance for all your help!

Created a new recipent policy for you the required address and set this as the primary address.
