When I want to stroke text the default color is red. Can this color be changed? XP Pro, PS ver 6.0

Stroke works on what ever your foreground colour is.

My foreground color is black but when I choose to stoke the color shown is red. i have to click on the red (box) and select my new color. Why is it always red?
