Default BCM 400

Is there anyway to get into a BCM 400, without having Nortel do a password of the day?

Defaulting the system is last resort. But can you default a system without logging into it?

was this an upgrade fron a lower Rls? you could try the older passwords.

I tried every password that was documented over the years. nothing is working. I found out that there was a tech that did not last very long and he had changed the password to a "More Secure" one. He is gone now and no one knows the password. Can i default it without logging in?

If he didn't get fired, I would call him and ask for it.

I have never found an easy way to get passed the password other then reimaging the HD to a Clean image of the Rls I needed.

So take out the HD, image it, and clean it and re-insert it and it should be able to work? Either way it's cheaper than nortels $500 a pop. I will try that though. As far as getting a hold of him, i left a message on his phone, but from what i hear he left on bad terms.

You need a copy of the 3.7 image to reimage it and the Nortel Imaging tool or Nortons Ghost, that sets it back to a new default drive.

Did you try ee_admin, eedge?? was popular for a while. all lower case
