I'm an apprentice in an small IT-company. We got a old Hipath4000 V5 from one of our customer in exchange.
I got the task to delete all stored data in the Hipath system.

I have a few problems by setting the default mode on our Hipath 4000.
I read in the thread965-1806979 which commands I need to do this but I always got the same error like in thread965-1766800.
I already change the date and time with the commands but it doesn't work.
Maybe someone have an idea what I could do to gain excess to the hipath system.
Another question is how do i know that all stored data on my system is deleted.

Hope somebody can help me with my problems.

If you are an IT person then removing the Hard disk and Compact Flash Disk will remove all software storage on the system.
Then treat those hard disks/compact flash drives as you would any other computer hard disk etc.

The information:
CHANGE-DBC:RESSWUDB=Y;
Confirm that command if required
then Reload
EXE-REST:SYSTEM,RELOAD;
You will be presented with a blank database.
Any MO/TAPE/DAT/CF discs should be destroyed.

is still relevant here.

With regard to not being able to log on etc. that might be a SIM card issue - is there a SIM card located in the lowest processor - possibly with (_.) on the display ?

Yes, there is a SIM card in the lowest processor. I unscrewed the lowest processor and cleaned the SIM card and the contacts.
But I got the same error that my software is inconsistent.

Removing the hard disk and compact flash disk is probably the easiest way to do it and this would be the last resort.
Maybe the screenshot will help.

You probably need a new 'Codeword' if the SIM and Date are OK.
The 'Codeword' is like a license file that combines with the SIM card to get the system working.

Can you post:

CHA-FUNCT:SLANG=ENG,LANG=ENG,REGIN=Y;
DIS-CODEW;

I have checked to see if a codeword exists for that hardware ID but I can not find any.

Seeing as all you want to do is break up the system then just remove the hard disks and destroy them.
