Dear All,

Can anyone has quick solution for the following weird problem, i have been struggling this morning to resolve..

Issue is even if i can see some BS in operable status, i can't get any signal on my DT 590 / Dt292 phones in spite of standing in front of base stations...

Changed board / changed sync cables/changed field cables / changed base stations / restarted boards / reset BS / shifted BS to another new FPI...

Issue is still the same... No signal on Phones... BS status fluctuates between operable / Non alive for certain BS..Some base stations are not coming alive at all...

I have noticed sync problems on my secondrary clock source & later even removed clocking source & kept only the Master source which is in Sync recv mode..

Boards are in latest revision as well as the phones which worked fine for almost two years without any serious issue like this...

Can anyone have some brilliant ideas into the right direction??

Thanks !!!

Hi,

did you restart CTLP in all lims?

please provide CXCFP:FPI=ALL; printout

Hi,

As per your advice, i did restart for CTLP...Still no joy..

Following is the extract of system Config... Some of the RPN's are removed...
First three RPN's on both FPI's show Operable status but i have no signal on Phones & these three BS's shows mormal LED indication..

Is there any possibility of External infulence?? In recent time, lots of Mobile operators as well as ISP's have started there operations & are launching wireless internet using various forms...I have no idea about there freq. plans..

can you move the 1-3-50 board to magazine board, this will eliminate the need for the sync cable to mag 3 + will give more stable operation.

I mean move mag3 board to mag0

Hi singhbrindisi,
can you post here the release of your system (maybe BC11??), SP, base stations and cordless devices (i.e. BS model, phone model, firmware release of both BS and phones and so on...)? Are your BS far from the ELU31? Maybe the cables linking your BS and ELU31 are too long? Maybe you need extra power pair to be connected to your BS? You can check Alex in order to know all these details.
Then, as whosrdaddy has just suggest before, you should move the BS from mag3 to mag0... in this way you don't have to worry about the sync anymore and you surely increase the stability of your dect subsystem.

Please report your experience
Bye

Hi,

1-3-50 is created only as a standby/Test measure to eliminate any possibility of fault on backplane card in Mag 0... Also to eliminate the existing ELU31 cable in Mag0...
So this has nothing to do with actual installation..

System is BC12 Sp5... Latest Fw on cards / phones etc...
It was running smoothly for last two years without any trouble...It happenend all of a sudden...
At this moment I have connected only One BS with card on slot 1-0-50 to avoid any possibility of interference due to faulty RPN position / BS / Field cable...
Still this single BS is not behaving normally...

Any other thoughts please...

Thanks Whosrdaddy & Landux & all others ..

Cheers,

dect needs good external sync, we have systems running without external lines and we must "train" the LSU board in a system with external sync. if we don't do this, dects will see no system...

Hi,

One of the External Radio link ( My secondary clocking source ) had trouble, which is fixed now...
I am againg trying to sync this clock as my secondary external clock..
Looks small improvement...
Standing in front of Test BS, makes a call between two DT 590's in my hand, Signal strength on both of these fluctuates Zero to Full almost every minute..
60% of the time call goes through but with a slight delay..I can hear the ringback tone twice & then afterwards i gets a ringing signal on my another handset..
Same is true for a call between DECT phone & desk phone..

Tried adding some BS's... Upto Three BS's ( First Three RPN positions ) on a single card shows operable status but in actual BS's LED's upper one flashes in amber/green/red combination instead of going into OFF mode in idle situation...This is one abnormal behaviour when you have upto three BS's on a single card..
Adding fourth BS will show that base station is not alive doesn't matters which RPN position you use...

I am lost with ideas to resolve it..

Pls advice the way to sync LSU internally... Lets assume there is no external sync..

Thanks !!!

you NEED an external clock source. The longer you train the LSU with a stable clock, the better the result (take a week as minimum).

anything that can emulate BRA/PRA (with good clock) should do...

please also provide CNBIP:BPOS=1-0-50&1-0-52; printout

Hi,

Recent update is that Ericsson needs to think ten times before they release any FW related to a particular functionality...

I am already getting crazy with the mess here...

R2D & R3A version of BS are not coming alive at all..
R4B( Latest BS ) connect it & i am able to use all DT 570 ( Oldest Phone) phones without any problem..
Now put R4B & make it operational, then remove the BS & put any R3D, it will behave normally .... DT 570 will work fine again & DT 590 will be able to operate 40% of the cases...I can add more than three BS using this procedure...

I am trying to locate which version of FW will exactly work for DT 590 & DT 292...may be the relased FW in year 1978...( I hope that was the time they launched MD110)

I have put both the cards in R9A version now..

latest FW for R3x BS330 stations is R3F and for CORE bs (KRNCB 201) is R2B. WORF (BS 330/BS340) with HW rev R4A or bigger can be updated to R4C.

WORF4 parts are released in R4C.

Singhbrindisi, take into account that E/// always assumes your PBX is in the latest servicepack (SP9 in your case)

Cheers,
Daddy
