IP 500 V2 Release 7 with DECT R4. Master Cell & 3 Slave Cells. All IPBS[4.1.30], Bootcode[4.1.30].

The memory usage of the Master Cell continually increases at a constant rate even during the night when no one is using DECT. Every 3 days it gets to the point where the Master Cell will error

0x00120001 - Critical - Memory Low

Half an hour later the Master Cell will restart giving

0x000b0001 - Major - Unexpected Restart WATCHDOG (2) of 4.1.30

After the restart memory usage will be low again but will start to increase at a constant rate. This cycle keeps repeating every 3 days.

Not sure if this is a programming issue, firmware issue or hardware issue? Anybody experienced this before?

My systems are running on 7.0(12) and 7.0(23).

I think it is a provision issue.
Did you use provisioning?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I did not use it because it is not an option on 6.1
The extra options on the dect phones also do not appear because you need to turn provision off when you are on 6.1

My next install will be on 7.0 and 10 base stations and around 70 dect phones.
I will try provisioning.

And i did and now my phones are losing thenre settings i made with a template :)
Luckily it is only the time changed from xx/xx/2011 to xx-xx-2011 and the downloaded language is disabled.

tlpeter - I posted a thread about this, Provisioning mode and templates are not compatible, I had to redo my last install without provisioning mode to enable the templates to remain on the phone.

I asked Avaya if it was a bug and they said yes, but it should be resolved in R8.

Indeed, you are right i have read about that a while ago.
I will try one phone next monday to see what happens.
This means that i have 70 phones to factory default and reregister :)

I didn't need to default and re-register my phones, I just turned off provisioning mode on both the base station and the DECT line on the system, all of the configured users remain in both areas and the phones stay subscribed with the current users.

This customer wants provisioning :)
So that means defaulting the phones and not using templates.
I logged it today so hopefully they can help me.

But i do have the new R8 firmware for IPDect R4 but i first want confirmation from Avaya.
