Hello,

Does anyone have any knowledge on connecting a RFP 35 Dect Station to a Mitel 3300?

Is it just a SIP end point to which dect devices can connect to?

Do you need any licensing for the Mitel 3300?

Ian

The RFP is programmed as a separate unit.
Every DECT handset will need a SIP license (User License) on the 3300.
You program a SIP user and associate it to a DECT handset in the RFP.

Connection will be similar to:

DECT Handset --> DECT Protocol --> RFP35 --> SIP --> 3300

thanks for the clarification, does the RFP get added to the 3300 as a SIP device? from the connection description you gave I assume this to be true?

I guess I'm trying to find out how the 3300 would be "aware" of the RFP.

The 3300 will have no idea of the RFP as far as I'm aware.
The 3300 will only be aware of the DECT handsets as SIP extensions.
The rest of the programming is done in the RFP. You will create a handset for each user and associate SIP Credentials from the 3300 and then the IMEI of the handset for the DECT part.
